New AIR Artist Leonard Shiel

Our new AIR artist Leonard Sheil has a show running at the Paul O'Kane Gallery at 6 Merrion Square Dublin 2 till March 7.

The first of Leonard's pieces are now in our postcard racks and we are looking forward to the rest of the series.

Southern Inspiration

Design is Kinky website is a wonderful jump off point for discovering design movers and shakers especially from the Southern Hemisphere. They also run show / conference Semi Permanent a couple of times a year in Australia and there is plenty of videos, interviews and art to be explored in that section. Make yourself a cup of tea and get stuck in.

Creative Commons Gallery

We have just launched a new series of artists postcards 'Creative Commons Gallery' which are now in distribution through our postcard racks. In line with the creative commons movement where people release some of their intellectual property rights under a special licence, so that their work can be shared, built upon or enjoyed by others we are printing a selection of artists work that is in the public domain under a creative commons licence.

The first artist featured is Pieter Fannes who hails from Belgium and image used is a Giacometti inspired drawing.

Spring

For some reason Spring is reputed to start on the Feb 1 in Ireland. Instead we woke yesterday to blanket of snow and traffic at a standstill. Very beautiful but spring has not sprung!

Over the weekend picked up a number of new cds. Imelda May, Love Tattoo gets my vote on a couple of listenings. Really want to see her live
